I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Swedish Bariatric. My original surgeon Dr. Sung was fantastic, and have had a very good experience with both Dr Basilica, and a stellar experience with Dr. Gupta since. The PA that I had an appt with recently was very good and helpful. The staff is USUALLY wonderful. The therapist and dietician are great. The office staff/reception has been wonderful with the exception of the person that I spoke with last Friday, who was so short and rude that I said I would call back a different time and hung up. That was only one out of probably 100 times that I have called in the 6 years that I have been a patient with them. I had my surgery at the first hill campus and it was flawless.
I had gastric sleeve surgery in February and couldn’t be happier with my results, or the care I received at Swedish. My provider Dr. Martin del Campo, my dietitian Virginia and my care team Margaux and Katrina my navigator – were all AMAZING. I have felt supported through the entire process! I asked sooo many questions during the process and felt relieved that they could navigate me through each of them. Amazing providers – amazing team!
Dr. Basilico has been wonderful to me. She has always responded quickly and done so with care. She prescribed me the weight loss medication she felt would fit my needs best, she explained why, and she was happy to help me find the right type/combination for my best success. She frequently had me check in to see how I was adjusting to new prescriptions, which felt like great attention to detail. She’s open to trying new treatment plans, she’s realistic about expectations, she’s very knowledgeable, and she’s very empathetic. She is also just so great about answering questions, which has made her become one of my favorite doctors to see. If you want a doctor that will listen to your specific unique needs and not treat you like a one-size-fits-all case, I highly suggest going with her.
