After completion of medical school at the University of Texas Health Sciences at San Antonio, he did his General Surgery training at Rush University Medical Center and John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County (commonly referred to simply as Cook County). He then went on to do a Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his board certifications in both General Surgery and Obesity Medicine.

He founded the Bariatric surgery program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago in 2010 and was the director of Bariatric Surgery at the Dallas VA. In 2016, he was the highest volume Robotic General Surgeon and did the most number of bariatric surgeries in the VA system. He has multiple publications in both journals and book chapters, has given numerous presentations across a wide variety of venues, has received teaching awards for Resident Education, belongs to various national committees, has performed live surgery broadcast to national meetings, and was previously Assistant Professor of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He continues to write, publish, and present each year.

He is currently the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Medical City Dallas Hospital as well Medical Director of Metabolism and Nutrition at Methodist Dallas Medical Center where he oversees the growth of both the medical and surgical weight loss programs. He is a key opinion leader, proctor, consultant, and speaker for Intuitive Surgical allowing him the opportunity to mentor surgeons around the country on implementation of robotic surgery technology in their practices. He is also a speaker for Aesculap, Inc, Apollo Endosurgery, and Boehringer Laboratories.

Dr. Kevin R. Hanz is a board-certified plastic surgeon. After receiving his medical education from Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Hanz trained in plastic surgery at the University of Texas – Southwestern, one of the top-ranked plastic surgery programs in the country. With over 20 years of experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, he has particular interests in facial rejuvenation and body contouring.

Dr. Ellen Turner is board certified in dermatology through the American Board of Physician Specialties, as well as board certified in functional medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She is proud to offer a complete array of dermatology services to her patients, including medical, cosmetic, surgical, and laser procedures.

Dr. Turner performed her medical school training at Texas Tech Medical School in Lubbock, and her dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she received a strong clinical foundation for assuming the care of such dermatologic conditions as acne, rosacea, psoriasis , skin cancer, and eczema of the skin. In her medical practice, she enjoys a focus on elective aesthetic procedures such as Silhoutte InstaLift™ (for which she is a Center of Excellence, and one of two physician training centers in the state of Texas), BOTOX® , Juvéderm® , Restylane® , and other injectables
, Exion, Emface, and laser and light-based devices.

She is an Allergan Master Injector Emeritus. She was one of ten injectors in the Dallas area asked to launch Qwo, the first FDA approved injectable for treatment of moderate to severe cellulite in the adult female buttocks.

Dr. Turner has personally designed the Dermatology Office in both its Dallas and Irving locations to provide the most current technology in dermatology services, including Ultherapy® , CoolSculpting® , the Sciton® Profile Platform, Halo® , RF microneedling, the picosecond laser for pigmentation and melasma, and the DiamondGlow® .system.

She is proud to offer Sensus Superficial Radiation for the treatment of basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas at both her Irving and Dallas locations, as a non-surgical, non-scarring approach to the treatment of these types of skin cancers since 2015. In 2025, she partnered with DermRay to provide boardcertified radiation oncology physician services to her patients as a nonsurgical alternative for the treatment of skin cancer.

Dr. Turner is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Texas Dermatology Society, the Dallas Dermatology Society, and the Dallas County Medical Society. Dr. Turner is also a member of the medical staff at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.

In her free time, Dr. Turner enjoys writing and teaching. To highlight these hobbies, she has launched DrEllenTurner.com which features training videos and weekly blogs, and encourages other healthcare professionals to pursue their aesthetic medicine dreams.
